Built in Bath, Maine during
1884, the Seguin tugboat was named for an island at the
mouth of the Kennebec River.
She was 88 feet long, with
a beam of 20 feet and a top speed of 12 knots.

During her 85 year career
she towed sailing vessels and barges laden with coal, lumber
and ice along the Atlantic coast from Maine to Virginia.
Seguin retired from the sea in 1967 with her
pilothouse still serving today as a concession stand at the Maine
Maritime Museum in Bath.
