We start by removing absolutely everything. All the hardware, the deck veneer, the steel keel are all removed and the masts and yard arms are detached from each other and their hardware is removed. The hull and deck are repaired, patched, filled, supported, rebraced and sanded smooth. Now we have a solid sound structure to work with.
