A
one of a kind hand cut, hand hammered copper sculpture of a patient
Bonsai. The small tree's trunk has been created to resemble the
realistic texture of bark and then polished as a contrast to
the blue green leaf clusters. Placed into a custom vase made
of solid Fiddleback
Maple, an exotic
wood with incredible depth and diversity within the grain. (It's
also used in the making of fine musical instruments such as guitars
and violins, thus the name.) The edges are softly rounded, all
is sanded smooth and hand oiled to a lustrous fine finish. This
sculpture is secured in place with clear resin to simulate the
appearance of water. |

The heat
treatment process, custom patination and hand painted accents
create vast color variations which will continue to evolve and
change with time.
